Specialist in Team Coaching

For nearly two decades, Alexandra Barosa Pereira has been dedicated to the development of executives and leadership teams, pioneering the use of coaching as a driver for organizational transformation. Her pragmatic and evidence-based approach bridges academic research with the lived realities of organizations.
She is the Managing Partner at ABP Corporate Coaching and brings over 3,500 hours of coaching experience with senior executives. Her research in team coaching gives her a distinctive systemic perspective — focused on how leadership is fostered collectively across teams and organizations.
Alexandra’s work is defined by a highly experiential methodology: real-life challenges are the starting point, moving from practice to theory and back again in a continuous learning cycle. She views coaching as a space for experimentation and collective discovery, where clarity, alignment, and trust unlock performance and organizational well-being.
She is the author of one of the first books published on coaching in Portugal, “Coaching em Portugal: Teoria e Prática” (2007), and has extensive experience as a mentor and supervisor to leaders and professional coaches. She also works as a coach in United Nations programs through the Humanitarian Coaching Network.
Alexandra believes in lifelong learning and sees every interaction as an opportunity for mutual growth. She is driven by the opportunity to learn from each context, grow through each challenge, and help leaders and teams find clarity and direction in what they do.

Alexandra holds a PhD in Management from ISCTE, specializing in Team Coaching, a master’s in Professional Development Psychology from the University of Évora, and a degree in Sociology from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the ICF, a Certified Coach Mentor (CCM), and holds a Team Coaching Certification from EMCC.
